Draft for the early-access period. These terms will be reviewed by counsel before general availability.
1. The service
DocFit is a GitHub App and dashboard that reads merged pull requests and related tickets, edits the documentation pages they affect, verifies the result and opens a pull request in your repository. DocFit never merges anything on its own; your team reviews every change. "We" means DocFit; "you" means the person or organisation using DocFit.
2. Accounts and workspaces
You sign in with GitHub. The first person to sign in from an organisation becomes the workspace admin and can invite others. You are responsible for who you invite, for the repositories and integrations you enable, and for keeping your GitHub account secure.
3. Acceptable use
Use DocFit only on repositories you are entitled to modify. Don't use it to process content you don't have the right to share with a documentation tool, don't try to make it write outside the documentation folder of your repository, and don't probe, overload or reverse-engineer the service except through our vulnerability disclosure process.
4. Plans, credits and fees
Plans, the monthly credits they include and how runs use credits are described on the pricing page and in the dashboard before any charge applies. Paid plans renew monthly or yearly until cancelled. Plan credits expire at the end of each month; purchased credit packs do not. Payments are processed by Dodo Payments as merchant of record, whose terms also apply to the purchase. During the early-access period, design partners use the Team plan at no charge.
5. Your content and output
Your code, docs and tickets remain yours. The documentation changes DocFit produces are delivered as pull requests in your repository and belong to you. You give us permission to process your content only as needed to provide the service to your workspace. DocFit may keep diffs, run logs and documentation embeddings for the retention period you choose, as described in the Privacy Policy.
6. AI-generated changes
DocFit uses AI models to write documentation changes. It verifies them with builds and checks, but output can still be wrong or incomplete. Review every docs PR before merging it; you are responsible for what you merge and publish.
7. Third-party services
DocFit works with services such as GitHub, Jira, Slack and model providers. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms. If a third party changes or withdraws access, parts of DocFit may stop working.
8. Availability and liability
During early access DocFit is provided "as is", without uptime guarantees. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the three months before the claim.
9. Ending the agreement
You can delete your workspace at any time from Settings; data is purged 30 days later. Uninstalling the GitHub App stops all processing immediately. We may suspend a workspace that breaks these terms or puts the service or other customers at risk, and will tell you why.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. For material changes we'll notify workspace admins by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use DocFit after that means you accept the new terms.
